ABOUT DR. KELSEY MILES

The chemist–musician who turns uncertainty into a path forward.

Blending science, music, and story to help your campus think like scientists, create like artists, and take aligned action even when the path ahead feels unclear.

As a chemistry professor, award-winning musician, and uncertainty researcher, I blend science, music, and story to help campuses navigate change with clarity and confidence.

My CEO Method, Calibrate → Experiment → Optimize, gives students, faculty, and staff a simple, science-backed way to access creativity, build resilience, and move forward even when things feel unclear.

When we work together you will learn how to:

Calibrate: Identify what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Experiment: Use practical, science-backed tools to respond with creativity instead of fear.

Optimize: Turn small experiments into sustainable practices that build resilience over time.

No pressure, just a 30-minute call to explore your campus needs.

I’m Dr. Kelsey Miles, a chemistry professor and award-winning musician. For years, I taught organic chemistry by day and performed across the country by night, and that blend of science and creativity still shapes everything I do.

I grew up in Ohio and never expected to become both a scientist and a musician until I realized the scientific method and creative expression were two sides of the same coin, and everything clicked. What began as a creative experiment became a calling: helping people reconnect with their inner clarity and build real self-trust through curiosity, experimentation, and reflection.

Today I teach students, faculty, and staff how to navigate uncertainty with confidence and authentic expression, whether in the classroom, on stage, or across campus.

WHEN I'M NOT TEACHING, WRITING, OR SPEAKING,

you’ll usually find me at home in Kansas City with my two cats, Roadie and Encore.

Roadie literally used to tour with me; she jumped into the back of my guitar amp as a kitten and rode along for thousands of miles. She’s still my little road warrior… just now with fewer miles and more naps.

Picture: We both won Madison Area Music Awards.
